Our NINTH year of Unglued Summer Camp! Our 9th year of hot doggies, terrible bunk beds, hot glue burns and glitter explosions, more unicorns, lakeside DJ-infused happy hours, new besties, bruises from slip-n-slides, sore knees from dancing into the starry night, and so much coffee.

This year I'm gonna let it be told to you by our 300 camper's feedback and the gift that is Studio Freshly's photography capturing the feels, experiences, memories, and favorite moments. <3. With a couple side stories of my own ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

"Camp is so incredibly magical. Every summer I feel like another piece of the anxious, uncomfortable kid inside me is healed; or, I learn to embrace the anxious awkward adult that I am- because camp is so fucking welcoming."

We just so happened to be #blessed this year by Sofi Tukker coming out with the banger Throw Some Ass ahead of our 9th Annual Unglued Summer Camp 2024. What are the chances the actual lyrics "throw some ass, free the mind" would exist a month prior to our annual camp and define just what we needed to hear this year. Yes. All of us.

Thanks to the Olympics this year in Paris we took a page from their playbook and had Kerry the Icecreamicorn with the eternal (tiki) torch.

And with our Olympic broadcasters Tanner and Emma we shared our 3 camp themes similar to the French opening ceremonies...but as camp.

#1 - Throw Ass. "Because if there’s one thing I can say about Camp, twerking comes first."

#2 Make Shit. "Never let a hot glue burn get you down, always add glitter, and you’ve f*cking got this."

#3 - Kick ass. In true headless unicorn, metal band form (TYSM Olympics) we shredded. and made it magical.

"It's most likely not going to be what you expect and at first you might even question what you are doing there. However, by the end of the weekend, you will be ready to sign up for the next year because it turned out to be way better than you could have imagined! I mean, I have a good imagination, but a unicorn with fireworks!!! Mind blown!"

"JUST GO and make sure you wake up by 8 so you can kayak before classes."

"Camp is the best weekend of my year- coming from an overstimulated, introverted mom of 2 wild little humans. Camp brings out this fire in me that makes me do things way out of my comfort zone (like cold morning water aerobics). The environment is insanely inviting and inclusive and warms my heart to the fullest. It’s literally the most amazing weekend. I only tell my favorite people about it so fewer people enter the lottery 😂 (totally kidding, but pleaseeeee let me come to year 10!!)"

"I think I knew the crafts would be awesome and there would be great times with friends, but the part I did not anticipate was how f*cking amazing the food would be. I was expected typical camp food (sloppy joes, mid level hotel continental breakfast buffet, etc) and I was blown out of the water with how great it was. Varied and cultured and just amazing. I haven't been so full in a long time!!"

"The workshops are great, the food is great, you'll get your money's worth on those things alone. Don't count on a good night's sleep."

"It was truly one of the best weekends of my life! It opened my eyes to new ways of looking at creativity and created an easy bridge to meeting new people because everyone was there to have fun and make cool shit 🤪"

The sessions are legit and the food is amazing, but I think a big part of what makes camp so special is that everyone just gets it. Everyone is all in. There’s no shame or holding part of yourself back because everyone else is just as excited to be there as you are."
